Nature Walk: Winter Birds of Lake Solano Park
The Putah Creek Council is hosting a nature walk focusing on the winter birds of Lake Solano Park. Bob Rockwell, Marc Hoshovsky, and Stan Hunter will be your guides for this morning birdwatching outing. This is a good opportunity to learn to identify local birds, so you don't have to be a birder to join them!
These activities are appropriate for all ages, and families and groups are welcome. A limited number of loaner binoculars will be available. Please prepare for the weather and variable conditions by bringing water, wearing sturdy shoes, and dressing in layers. The tour will be rescheduled in the event of heavy rain. A camera and binoculars are recommended. Continue to enjoy the beautiful scenery by picnicking or renting a campsite for the weekend on a first-come, first-served basis.
Advance registration is recommended but not required. The day's activities are free, and parking is $6 per vehicle payable at the east entrance to the Park, on the day use side.
